THE CHANGLING

THE CHANGLING

Creatures of duplicity

 Deceit  and treachery.

A smile that sears the flesh

Sweet words that enrapture the soul

 Lost to heaven

 Angels of hell

They mesmerize  me in their spell.

But then the mask does fall

 And

 I see it all.

 Too late to run.

 No safe place  to hide.

 The damage is done.

 The Changling has won

 Again.

Dear Longobardolino mio,

" A smile that sears the flesh" Ooooooh what words, containing the whole expression of this poem in one gulp. If the young people think they have the talons of expression with their horror films and weird ugly beasts, they haven't have they ? When an expression like this in one line has it all, says it all and devastates the equilibrium of the world, and more intimately the individual. Oooh with a SWEET SWORD you sear the hair, the heart, the flesh and leave us helpless, we have no weapon against such hypocrisy. Damn their devilment! Your Annuccia furiously.

Dear Longo

A great write for Halloween, enjoyed this very much. As for the Changling, kick its butt and send it on its way, lol. You take care and look after yourself. Love to all, Lyz. XX
