An Eggistential matter--EDITED
An Eggistential matter
Now that was his first mistake
An egg doesn’t tempt fate
Sitting on the edge of infinity
For he as all other eggs
Tend to break when they fall.
We humans do much the same
It seems
Not knowing where we're going.
Lost in existential themes.
Dreams .
Not reality.
A curb or cliff will do
To make us a Humpty Dumpty too.
Dreaming and fantasy are okay
But I say
When your heart and mind wander around
Keep your feet on solid ground.
We all face a wall or two or more
Keep it real
You know Life’s bitter score.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a w all…
Now that was his first mistake
An egg doesn’t tempt fate
Sitting on the edge of infinity
For he as all other eggs
Tend to break when they fall.
We humans do much the same
It seems
Not knowing where we're going.
Lost in existential themes.
Dreams .
Not reality.
A curb or cliff will do
To make us a Humpty Dumpty too.
Dreaming and fantasy are okay
But I say
When your heart and mind wander around
Keep your feet on solid ground.
We all face a wall or two or more
Keep it real
You know Life’s bitter score.
