ENDURANCE

ENDURANCE

Endurance is not a virtue
Just a necessity to help us survive
Our own humanity.
Life finds a way
To get us through
On waves of silken thoughts
And
Visions of colors bright
Refracted through sunlight.
We suffer  each day
Our human inevitability.
Yet
Eternity intensifies the pleasures
Of these finite spaces.
Moments
We need to treasure.
No regrets.
No fears
No   tears for yesterday.
The soul  within  will know what to do
When we need to give in
And with quiet dignity
Let go.

J.B. Longo-GeremiaThanks,

J.B. Longo-Geremia Thanks, Jayne. Kyrie eleison, Kriste eleison Are part of the Roman Catholic liturgy when Latin and ancient Greek were used. These are from ancient Greek and are now translated into the vernacular as Lord have mercy; Christ have mercy. Joe

Dear Longo

Well written, I love the wording of the last 9 lines. They have a significance of their own. Love and best wishes to you, Love Lyz. XX

waving in the eternal myth of life.

That's top my Longobardolino, Those waves of silken thoughts the surface of the lake was indeed like a layer of silk shiningly new-spun only undulating in wave-like shapes as if someone was waving it in their hands at the other, eastern, end of the lake. The Nordic gods and fairies together were waving in the eternal myth of life. Luckily not all of us have to endure life, those fortunate enough to have good health and not be afflicted with any negative illnesses are the lucky ones. Your attitude to life is totally understandable, and with poetry you manage to turn around the tail of the coin and give us the shiny head, the positive side even through your pain and sadness, this gives us a joyful feeling of existence, and attitude to eternity. From Your Annuccia with love.
