PLACES TO HIDE

PLACES TO HIDE

They were just hallucinations

You see

The things you saw

The things you heard.

I only wish now

I told you

I saw and heard them too.

I couldn’t step into the depths

Of your reality

Taunted by phantoms

Ghosts and demons

Eating at your soul.

But

I was fighting the Beast that took your mind.

I couldn’t bring you back

From the edges of insanity.

I tried.

Now the Beast is after me.

Memory is the guide to my salvation.

A place I run to hide.

A place I see you all replay

The scenes of yesterday.

A place not easy to find.
