THE LOTUS EATERS II

 

Drugged into sweet tranquility
The Lotus Eaters
Dream the dreams that mesmerize the mind
And soothe a troubled soul
Lost in their sleep of apathy.
Escape into absurdity
As the poison slowly seeps in.
The world surreal
Where no one can feel
The sting of their own our mortality..
Madmen and Fools.
Eaters of the lotus
Seeing their monsters and demons
Happily flee
In blissful  insanity.

You have a great feel for putting your thoughts into poems. Sad although may be, and for many reasons I do not understand, but believe me when I say you have a talent sir.I wish you well in so many ways,and forgive my ignorance, but I appreciate your poetry and enjoy reading it.
