BLOODLINE II

BLOODLINE II From my father I learned  the Mediterranean senseOf loyalty to familyNo matter what. From my mother I learned enduranceTo harsh realityNo matter what. From both a sadness I had never knownWhen they were gone.I am the sum total of all those who went before me.My idiosyncrasy favors one .Genetically I see who I amEnduring my own historyAnd Alone now facing my  singular mortality.I am the last carrier of the flameSlowly fading into darkness.Who will be here to remember themAnd love them still when I am gone.I wonder at this mystery. The unforgiving silence of Infinity.I wonder what it means to beAnd then slip away into Eternity. Amen

Dear Longo

This is a sad, yet beautiful write. These things you wrote about do occur in many lives. Breaks my heart. I have a friend who has no bloodline left, 20yrs in and I call her my sister. We do as sisters do and I did know her family, but I am her only family now.No one should ever feel alone. I really love this sentimental poem. You have a brilliant message in this write, just wonderful, thank u. Love Lyz. XX

An interesting and impressive Poem!

This piece truly reflects both the perplexity and the harshness of living and dying! Great word usage and strong emotional content! Bravo!
