FEARFUL ASSYMETRY

FEARFUL ASSYMETRY

Strange and fearful asymmetry this

Life’s unevenness.

Free choice and retribution

Predetermination and Freedom of Will

Until

We sin  for being human.

Evil for good

Treachery  for innocence.

No sense to the Golden Rule.

Fools

Are we who fall into ironic misconceptions

Enduring pain and suffering

For

Promises of  a divine resurrection.

To exist is to be

And die a hundred times or more

In this Life.

Rising from our ashes

We are our own creation

And when our final darkness  falls

No regrets

No recriminations

Amen

Oh super just super Longobardolino mio

"Rising from our ashes We are our own creation" That I love, our phoenix spirit singes the edges of society and declares its individuality, its own existence. "We sin for being human." This is the biggest joke of all. "No sense to the Golden Rule." This too is an idea, but seems to be echoed many times in natures own 'creations.' "And die a hundred times or more" and this too reminds us that the knowing of dying is in life, after that we know not. The logic, oh look at me, I cannot find anything at fault in this so well put poem and the idea of life and death defying the scriptures of the ancient men of the past who sat, like us, and wrote down their thoughts in poetry that we have followed as a creed for hundreds of years. THEY were very good poets, were they not??? Yours as aye love Annuccia
