SIMPLISTIC THOUGHT

A rat in a maze turning corners.
Are we different or simply allowed to be.

Take time to smell the flowers,
and who will feed the children?

Take time to understand,
and who will cut the grass?

I wonder the trade of  simplicity.
A life time as  me to try,
or a butterfly to fly.

Holding only three days from birth
Dust to dust earth to earth.

A question asked.
A answer given.
Yes driven.

Understanding well,
he will not tell.
Untill another life is given.

Parts of the poem seem

Parts of the poem seem disjointed, to me. Like these two lines, for example: Take time to smell the flowers, and who will feed the children? I don't understand this line: A life time as me to try The title is just ok. The pacing is thrown off by the awkward lines. If it were my poem, I would rewrite it. I hopoe I have helped. Keep writing. Always, Cat

Thanks my friend.

Cat. I write of war and hell that is to play in my gray. This was a piece of fluff. Ok so not well at that type of poetry. So I will write of what I am to enjoy. Thanks agian for the time spent to my gray. Forever I will be just me a soldier lost in the dark of the mind that will not fisish the day. Steven A. Kacer

Simplistic Thought...poem

S., This poem kicks ass. You are a soldier, yet see other sides. The last line tells all to those who will understand. wcw

Most have not a clue.

W.C. Perhaps just by chance you have a clue to my gray. Yet I must say. Your words along with the picture you place of your face is a treasure of pleasure as I smile now on this hard to take Monday. Steven A. Kacer

Simplistic Thought...poem

S., I hope your Monday had some good moments. Your poems are very powerful, with or without typical American grammar. They are you inside. Visit my latest poem page, and I'll be thinking of you, there, watching...watching... the world. wcw

Just a thought

W.C. I find my mind is just what it will always be. I open the door for even a hore. I hope you understand me. I laugh at my mind as at least for a timr no test has placed its will to my gray.I ponder the soul I keep as I wish from time to time to just go killing agian. What a fool am I as I would be well to take a mans life. Easy is the task and hard is the finish of a soldiers life. So just smile my friend and be a person from the start to the end. When God sayes you are a fool and will lock the gate behind me. Just by chance if you are to play in the world of men I will stand just to the left of you my friend. Steven A. Kacer

Simplistic Thought

Sakkkkkkkkk From what I observe you a soldier be If so you see all the tragic scenes you see. So from thought to thought and in a blink of an eye you are thrown from the zone. So what is reality. The gray I seem to be in most of the time with glimpses of a reality I long for - that could be? As you lay in the dirt and your own sweat weapon drawn your thoughts jump back and forth to - who will feed the children who will cut the grass - I am sure you can smell the cut grass and flowers at that moment in time. It seems the dye is cast earth to earth dust to dust we return A butterfly am I and travel afar - out of this body rainbows to find follow my heart is all that I do Electric Blue
