ALICE DOESN'T LIVE THERE ANY MORE
Alice doesn’t live there anymore
I step each day
To visions that my mind will tell
To free my soul from the edge of hell.
I twirl in a world surreal
Imagination and Fantasy.
Yet
I wonder if Alice knew
The faces of this insanity.
All things are not what they seem to be
Or
Are no different than they were before.
You see
I look around and I find
Alice too has left it all behind.
Through the looking glass
I step each day
To visions that my mind will tell
To free my soul from the edge of hell.
I twirl in a world surreal
Imagination and Fantasy.
Yet
I wonder if Alice knew
The faces of this insanity.
All things are not what they seem to be
Or
Are no different than they were before.
You see
I look around and I find
Alice too has left it all behind.
