SO IT SEEMS
SO IT SEEMSVisions and fantasy
Dreams scattered into oblivion
New ones alive
This my “ poetry “
Only whispers of me.
Ghosts of my peculiar humanity.
No sadness. No bliss.
A lifetime of memory ruthless and kind
Nearing its end.
My legacy.
Cautious moments of happiness.
Mesmerizing murmurs of misery.
No optimist.
No pessimist
Not a dreamer.
Not a realist.
Enduring my humanness.
Not willing to share myself any more.
They wanted too much from me.
Nothing in return.
Never a word of love or care.
Alone but not lonely.
Stronger than I used to be.
Still
Hope answers my despair
So it seems.
One of the last of a line
Am I.
Finality.
No belief in what is to come
After.
Silence to every prayer.
Slowly ending
But with dignity.
The only virtue left to me.
So it seems.
With open eyes
I continue to dream
Killing the demons after my soul.
My limbs turning to stone
My heart grown cold.
Yet stronger than ever.
So it seems.
Dreams scattered into oblivion
New ones alive
This my “ poetry “
