TENDER HEARTS
TENDER HEARTS
Tender and gentle hearts make the best meal
For wolves, cannibals and those of that ilk.
Words of honey and silk
Bring you to striking distance
Before the kill.
A Fool’s innocence
Doesn’t see the thrill
The ecstasy
In their lies.
All honesty and honor dies
In their embrace.
And
When all is done
They leave you for dead
With no dread of expiation
Until they face
God’s Mercy.
