There Is No Time for Goodbyes

When the gallant sun, rehearses the day,

as we commence in hope or dismay;

then the zealous moon calls us to slumber.

There is no time for goodbyes.

When spring takes hold in brilliant bloom,

as tranquilizing aromas fill every room;

then winter unravels its weary gloom.

There is no time for goodbyes.

When our youth, so tender, and oh so fair,

dabbles its genius, and lofty airs;

then age invades, years, mocking brood.

There is no time for goodbyes.

When old friends are lost, and cannot be found,

and family springs off, all in a bound;

when Love sometimes feels loveless?

There is no time for goodbyes.

When those we love dearly, in all of its weight,

as we tug at war on some clamored fate.

These are the times we should not hesitate!

For there is no time for goodbyes…..and life must not wait!
