THE GARDEN OF EDEN MUST HAVE BEEN A BORING PLACE

THE GARDEN OF EDEN MUST HAVE BEEN A BORING PLACE  I live each moment existentially I was not created to be what I am today Tomorrow will see another me Forged by fire and ice Everyday choices right or wrong Are mine I create my own destiny Nothing is written on my soul That cannot be erased I’ve chased life’s dreams Through others too many times This journey belongs to me alone And when my choices are gone So will I

Longo...

I do admire your writing abilities... to me, you are one of the best natural writers we are privy to on this site... and I agree with this write, except I thought you were very religious... seems to be a contradiction in belief... Richard

Thanks, Richard

J.B. Longo-Geremia I am what you might say "spritual". I believe in Christ--that's it. God is an unknown to me and doesn't "fit nto" this Italian-Gypsy boy's" spiritual mind set. :) joe

joe...

Well I am sorry for reading you wrong all this time... but even that seems a bit contradictory to me, although very interesting... the teachings of Christ were indeed much different than the vengeful God of the Old Testament. It is always interesting to me how one fits the other in the mind of men... I think I like the place you're in... it is a good walk for you! thanks for sharing!!! Richard

Yes

J.B. Longo-Geremia And they say "In doubt there is faith." At least I talk about Him-- whether "he" exists, ever did, or , as Nietche said, "God id dead." But I DO believe in the pure energy and absolute goodness of Jesus Christ as well as some divine spirit in all of us. How else we we survive our hymanity...? Joe

Yes...

the divine spirit within each of us... but not everyone can reach it... but I know that everyone has the ability to find a greater plain... I think your question there is, How else could we survive humanity??? the age old question, but I find it interesting to think that man, even in his most wayward time of evolution, would have known infringements upon others, as the animals do... so could the need for religion and "God" have come from the basic need for laws to govern even cave man society... just a thought! J.B. Longo-GeremiaTHAT is

J.B. Longo-Geremia THAT is precisely our "mystery", Richard. And evil done to others is returned with retribution of some kind. Is there a Univeral Divine L aw operating? Don't know. Joe
