LANGUIDE CAREZZE: In English.

LANGUIDE CAREZZE

[Inspired by the aria from  Puccini’s Tosca ]

A caress that languishes in its touch

Eyes that speak words of love.

  Not for me. For another.

A sigh  that dies in each  embrace.

 With  stolen dreams of ecstasy.

   Not for me. For another.

A heart that breaks and tears that betray

   My love for you

  Not for another.

I hear the music

sense the sounds and find myself in the theatre of life's many tragedies and strife. Oh poignant feelings of betrayal, how do we get rid of them, they hang in the sinews of our brains strained and fresh, even after many years have passed. The only compensation is the fact that they have been experienced, as never having felt that way, one must be barren of great feelings, numb to the great flow of love's emotions, that MUST be worse, perhaps ? So beautifully, neatly put my Longo, yours Annuccia
