A LONELY TOUCH IN THE DARK

A LONELY TOUCH IN THE DARK

It was a whisper of a touch

Across my cheek

A lonely touch lost in the dark

Seeking a familiar breath to catch

I tasted the smell of crimson  lips

And heard the familiar sigh

Of a last breath

Why do some souls linger

And languish

And follow the living they once knew

Waiting in dark corners

Caught in candlelight

Waiting for someone to dance them

Out of night

Thank you Anna!

J.B. Longo-Geremia I was thinkiing of a series of "stuff" that I wrote that would do well under the rubric of MALINCONIA [Translated as LONGINGS , not "melancholy." ] I just need time and energy ...::)

Well then I wish them for you Longo, I am partial to a bit of longing myself, so I'm sure I would appreciate it. Off to see what my lovely Ann has been up to of late Cheers~ Anni ~~~ "A loving person lives in a loving world. Just arrived here Longo mio

This is lovely, what vocabulary can we find sometimes for descriptions of how a poem strikes us? This so felt, so experienced and is transmitted to our very souls as you feel the closeness of one once lost, yet not gone from your heart. So beautiful and ethereal, she is with you still Longo, I know it. To dance them out of night, with such a poem how could they not be? Your Annuccia.
