Instinct
Did you forget what day it is?
Where the road runs to?
Where you left me stranded,
Waiting, wanting you.
Now you return,
Empty, yet with more heartbreak
Full to the brim with sins
And begging for no mercy.
Decisions are impossible in this situation
Going with gut feeling and trying to survive.
The well is drained; run dry.
You've used all my reserves
Starving for attention
Asking for some authority.
Swept the streets of our story,
Ridding it of sorrow;
Cleaning up the past,
Preparing for tomorrow.
Where the road runs to?
Where you left me stranded,
Waiting, wanting you.
Now you return,
Empty, yet with more heartbreak
Full to the brim with sins
And begging for no mercy.
Decisions are impossible in this situation
Going with gut feeling and trying to survive.
The well is drained; run dry.
You've used all my reserves
Starving for attention
Asking for some authority.
Swept the streets of our story,
Ridding it of sorrow;
Cleaning up the past,
Preparing for tomorrow.
