Mr. Media Man

Excuse me now,Mr. Media ManI know your therePlease stop waving your handsIt's hard to seeAnd with your quiet demandsIt's hard to hearWhat's going onBehind all of your standsAnd before you come inPlease take some of my timeAnd get to knowEvery one of my dimeAnd do go throughEvery one of my clothesThen post a reviewOn at least one of your showsIs that your crew? They can come in I supposeShow them aroundYou know my house better than mostA place to stay?I'd hate to be a bad hostSounds like a planMy friend,Mr. Media Man

Breaking Logic...

I liked where you went with this, but it seemed to me you were going for a rhythm that isn't quite caught. Maybe I'm wrong, sometimes it is more important to get it down, then structure the write... but I think this has promise, with a bit of work this could be very good. as far as content goes, it seems you are writing from a media personality's view... perhaps some clarity there would help the write... and it would make the ending a bit stronger felt... personally, I would hate to be famous to the point that the media was following me around... has to be a terrible existence... but there are those that love it... thank you richard

Yes the rhythm was experimental, so maybe it didn't turn out so good, thanks for your thoughts on that. Starting with the line, "And before you come in" it becomes all satire. I can see how that was easy to miss though. I was writing it from an anti-media perspective. Personally I believe the media, in its many forms, can become very intrusive and is much of a distraction. For some people that is good, but I don't share that view. Thank you again for your input! :) Peace
