HORIZON'S EDGE

HORIZON’S EDGE
 I turned around and saw
There was no one behind me anymore I looked beyond Horizon’s edge But Felt no other breath to touch I walked across cold mountain paths Along sunlit strands in southern lands Searching for the ones that went before Alone , On my own And When I woke from Sleep’s vision
I turned around only to seeThere was no one left
But
Me

The last person in existence

The last person in existence how lonely that would be how strangely mad one would feel, now no one to communicate with, no words with any meaning, no sounds of others, no no no no thing. It is impossible to imagine, empty void. Like stepping off the edge of the planet into space. I wonder so much what would be in your mind? Its the extinction of the species in reverse, and would there be any more........any thing? Or is it wishful thinking, the sudden idea of an absurd Utopia, away from the discomforts of others. One Christmas I wanted to be alone, but No! The neighbours wouldn't hear of it, me sitting beside them in my tiny flat of 9 sq.m. So I had to go, to satisfy THEM, and sit with my Swine-ribs and watch the two children rip open a host of expensive presents; and I had been so looking forward to my own peaceful Christmas, but because of others wishes, I had to give in to my neighbours!!!! Alone is not lonely. It is ourselves that make it lonely. Annucia

Yes, true...

J.B. Longo-Geremia But there are also "things" that isolate an individual. Certain types of prgressive and agresive illnesses tend to do that-- you feel "out of the norm" despite the fact there are sooooo many people who suffer from same or similar and how wonderfully they all survive this-- as I hope I am doing: poetry is a good catharsis, no? I haven't reached that point of existetial "alienation" -- I believe in myself too much.:) Il Longobardolino

The all-one aloneness is the

The all-one aloneness is the existential all-one-ness of the universe. That we should feel it is not uniquely human; that the universe is the will to be shared, is itself the beauty of our natural being-ness. Much love to you both. ~A "The way you make love is the way God will be with you." Rumi
