A CERTAIN MELANCHOLY

A certain melancholy [Certa Malinconia]  A    certain  melancholy Enraptures me And I languish in the magic Of Its embrace I run to hide In dreams and memory But All seem so far away A fading glance to the past I don’t remember much anymore A dream or two of ecstasy My last Escape from reality But I don’t dream anymore Curled In the arms of longing I wait the wait patiently My quiet soul Enveloped in its own Mystery

You grip us and we float with you down your abyss, almost beautifully! Anna

Longo...

indeed, and an elegant journey at that... I felt the spacing was a bit over-done, but I think that is just a matter of personal preference... not the way I would have done it, but then, this near-perfect poem didn't come from me... it came from you! and quite the beauty it is...thanks for posting! Spaciing is spacing me out LOL

J.B. Longo-Geremia Thank you , again, Richard. I am haviing SO MUCH TROUBLE getting spacing right on this site. When I edit the spacing is as I want it, but the poem, once submitted, shows a different spacing entirely. Anything I can do? Your friend, Joe Longo-Geremia
