                                                                                                                TRUTH

A land of greatness, once truly free.
Now shackled by government and bureaucracy.

                                                                                                     Stand alone if I must.
For they no longer hold my trust.

The masses that will not speak treated as herds of sheep.
The constitution like a ship wrecked at sea.

Its body rusted not long to be.

Free no More poem

S., I can see that you've seen. If I'm not mistaken, you have actually fought for MY freedom at some time. (so they said) If so, I thank you with all my heart. If not, thank you anyway for being a hard edge poet who has seen, and will let it be known. The fear in this country astounds me. It seems people are taught from childhood..."Be carefull, you'll get hurt" and also to pass blame and expect others to be responsable for our safety. Whatever happened to "find your balance, or fall"? Both physically and mentally. Oh, it's a big subject, and I have to go to work, But I recently wrote this to myself to consider... "Freedom is the privelege to show who you are." I'm working on it...wcw

Steven

The times they are a-changin'. As you said, our Constitution lies on the floor, and the masses of sheep follow along blindly. We had our chance (twice!) and we blew it. We had two perfectly good candidates who were fighting for the people, and we said "fuck 'em!" Will we ever learn? ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction!" -"God is good, but never dance in a small boat."

The Walk

Infinite_Dwarf. By chance you and your person of choice would enjoy a walk down a old dirt road with me. It is spring time in my mind on this journey. So you will have no need for the jackets yet mine is in my pack just beacuse. The walk is long so pace yourself try not to look at the changing of color of the leafs. Don't mind me just getting a few worms from under this old tree. Stay to the trail I will catch up. Sorry it took me so long as when I placed my hand to the hole in the log the place had ben taken by a snake. Darn cotten mouth nearly bite me. No worries as I spun him arround and snap wen't his head. Good for us as if we do not catch any fish then snake we have to supper fiest Well can you hear the water just five clicks away I say. What do you know under these branches is a small yet good boat. Go on get in I will push us off. I sure hope you two can swim for I brought no rescue wraft nor a wring to toss in. Lets catch a nap as the water is calm. When you awake I will be gone. No worries just paddle hard and keep her pointed to the current. At last we meet agian at the end of the old dirt road I hope you two were good to eachother and used the rig I placed in the boat. Nice mess of fish. Well then sit down the fire is up and have a drink. It has placed a smile to my gray to spend time with you two yet I must go burning daylight as they say. O yes so I don't forget turn left at the large pne and go South for about three clicks you will find the trail just as we started and home agian before the morrow has time to come in. Steven A. Kacer

Short and Powerful!

Great Job my friend. I hold it true, whatever befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

As I do be your good friend

As I do be your good friend of well placed words Steven, yet not of the American public, my place to fall makes it harder to comment on this one. I do however want to say that when it comes to fighting for our freedom that of which we must give thanks for, it matters not the flag under which a noble soldier stands but it is the mission for which each of them fight that matters the most. Each fallen man under his flag is hence a hero to the world. Thank you for your dutiful services and sacrifice. Thank you also for being a new friend Steven. Few relate the way you do to me.

Friends

I have few yet as to the truth. I think inside the box and then blow it away. I love the country of my birth and hold the thoughts as many do. So just take a look in the mirror and what the hell it is you. No matter the reason yet I think I will try to be a better person no matter where my hat is hung. Thanks I say with a flower in my hand and a gun in the other. Strange the mind of men and well I will somday figure it out. Only time will tell if the gates that open will offer me a trail to heaven or hell. Steven A. Kacer

TRUTH

TRUTH A land of greatness, once truly free. Now shackled by government and bureaucracy. Stand alone if I must. For no longer will I be blind by there winds of trust. The masses that will not speak are treated as herds of sheep. and this is why I chose for my self to be free The constitution like a ship wrecked at sea. Its the broken body rusted for this is not a ship of trust for me

TRUTH

Press. I trust nothing. I love few things. As a picture is worth a thousand word as they say. I tip my cover and then go back to the hole I dug for salvation or just to lie in the mud. So tell me if you have the time. What the hell should they do with people like us. Steven A. Kacer

Free...to show who we are...

S.,I spend most of my non working time in a little room in a dark corner of an old crumbling down factory. Since no one is supposed to live here (I don't), I'm one of only two people in this massive, mostly closed and gutted building at night. We guard it. I love it. I feel freedom, which I have to steal from the government in a way. I write poetry, and play my piano/guitar/drums any hour day or night. Like "Phantom of the factory". This is my big brick tent, hidden away on the edge of a big decaying city. The building is sold, and my days here are numbered. What will I do? I'll find another place to hide and do my arts. Some say I'm not contributing to society, but I am. I live what I write. I work a secret job. I give to the poor (I'm not rich). I play music for people. I've published two books of poetry that deal with my search for adventure, and balance. And I try to give out a positive energy for wherever I go. Manners, courtesy, respect, decent language, etc. I want it to be known that being a good person is not about fear, or following stupid rules, or owning everything advertised on tv (I don't have a tv). It's about designing your own freedom, which is not just for yourself. It includes granting freedom to others, and taking it when you have to. I'm long winded here, but you asked a question. This is my answer. Never mind what they should do with people like us. We'll take care of our selves, and we'll save whoever we want to save as we pass through. We're free to do that...........wcw

Your words

W.C., To start I thank you for the reply. I don't play music as to a horn. Yet in the middle of nowhere I can hear a song. Perhaps just the wind my friend yet I listen to it and smile. As to the building you protect that is now sold to the place it will be to you forever and a day. I to am not ritch yet God gave me so manny things. So in a sence I'm full of life. Do me a favor if you will friend don't change just place your cover well and remember people like us are few and far between. So as to come to the end of what I had to say. Look to the life you have ben given my friend as what we see will be our life. And if you get the chance to ask God what the hell is this about and he answers pleas grab me on my way down and tell me so I can relaxe. Your friend Steven A is looking for the truth of life and so far only questions to play for the day. See ya on the flip side friend. Steven A. Kacer

S.A.K., You are right, I don't have much of things, but what I do have is good. It's not always easy to feel fortunate, but I think I am, and I'm willing to fight for it too. wcw

W.C. Wampler. You my friend have more than most will ever have. So after placing quill to this place I will drop to my knees and thank God for creating people such as yourself. Do me a favor if you will, look to a soldier as no man will be to try any harder to ive life as just a person he tries to be. Understand if you will a soldier needs not to hold a weapon of destruction the weapon my friend at times is his gray. So fight as I will forever and a day. Thanks agian my friend for just that you yourself. See ya on the flip side of life if the dog is to run and God is to poke fun. Steven A. Kacer
