Thus Speaks the Recluse

There are timeswhen I hate to have tomeet people;times when I just needthe inner spaceto work my way aroundthe vicious web of wordsI yearn to sink intoa primeval worldof raw beginningsI want tofeel without thinking;listen without judging;understand without labelling;see without colouringWhen I awaken,I shall possess many mansionsand I shall have access

to  vast quantities  of transformational energy

Wow Leonard, I love this one, really enjoyed the whole part about feeling without thinking, see without coloring, understanding without labeling, I wish that for the whole world...... I gave you an awesome. I must say though that the last four lines could be taken out. Just my opinion, do what you want. Supercallyfragelistic!!! Patty

Thank you Patty

Yes, when I read the last four lines I was wondering how I put it across like that in the first place. I haven't removed them but I have changed them. I feel it reads better now. Thanks again. Leonard

I like the changes that you made. Gotta say though, this is a very powerful poem, I think its the best one you ever did. I wish for the same things you do my friend. Patty

A teensy problem I have's that ...

after the listing of wants, when you tack on the "When I awaken, I shall possess many mansions and I shall have access to vast quantities of transformational energy," it seems, well, so anticlimactical, even beside the point, ... or perhaps an exit off stage left. For one, how would you know the result obtained "when I awaken" before you do? For two, the assertion still locks away huddling in the mind but a further step away from the wants earlier enumerated. Perhaps on another day I'll come up with more clarity, but for now I'll leave this comment as is. Always glad to see you active at this site. Yours, Chuck
