tired & sick

tired & sick

tired of the pompous
tired of the obnoxious
tired of the self righteous
you're so much better than me

sick of the condescending
sick of bullshit neverending
sick of bad behavior defending
you're so much smarter than me

i'm so goddamned sick & tired
each pompous asshole prick
legends in their own minds
i'm so goddamned tired & sick

and I sure know what that feels like, so I can relate to this one! I will have to look into your other pieces now to calm my curiosity about your usual style. entertaining write, looking forward to more. your Proprietress

Tom

Tom, it's definitely a sidetrack from your normal writing. Still digesting the change, as I'm used to your magic needle threading words together. I just don't feel that with this write. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"Handle every situation like a dog: if you can't eat it, or screw it, piss on it and walk away!"

You are right, Jess

First time ever I just hit "Submit a Poem" and started typing. Figured, what the hell? So you can't eat it or screw it, so you know what to do with it. Tom

LOL, Tom!

It's ok, we all have those days where it just seems like the "good writing Gods" are ignoring us. I know I have my fair share of them on here! Wait! Let me drink a little more, and then give you a batch of Jess's finest. You have to be in another room, though, 'cause I'm piddle shy. :~( ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"Handle every situation like a dog: if you can't eat it, or screw it, piss on it and walk away!"

Straight to the site, huh?

Good Rant. hard to do direct...I wouldn't dare, it'd come out garbage. Respectfully Jim "Laws and rules don't kill freedom: narrow-minded intolerance does" : Race

Brilliant

simply brilliant, if I owned a tractor, I would sell it to buy this work, you should be someone other than yourself, alone, lost, a no-one, for when you write, angels go silent so they can hear a voice from the woods...

People like you hmmm only you that I know of make me afraid to comment... haha Your comment is what might be called poetically commententuous LOL I would just say someting un-interesting like; man, there is a lot of redundancy in there and on a philosophy I think I understand; who would not? But that's me. Finally I think a rating system on comments would be cool :) If you read that I feel lucky. Mark

Wow its been a while since you wrote. I liked this one believe it or not. To be in tune to this world and all that goes on lately, I am sick and tired too. Must be old souls syndrome. There's a new one for the books. Feel bad for the young ones never had the good ole days. That always makes me smile Gonna fly my kite at the beach when the weather clears up. Your buddy Patty

Agreed Patty

Kids today don't realize how good the good old days really were. Thanks for reading and your kind words. This really isn't deserving of any praise... I just hit "submit a poem" and started typing. No effort whatsoever. Not a practice I recommend or intend to continue. Take Care, Tom

tired & sick

Tom, Come on now I think it should be sick and tired! Just teasing! I don't think there has been any one of us that hasn't felt this way at least once in their life maybe twice. Enjoyed the rant~ ______________________________________________________ Income-tax forms should be more realistic by allowing the taxpayer to list "Uncle Sam" as a dependent Anonymous

Oooh who was grumpy that day!? Hope you don't mind a stir

Ooops Tom, am I allowed to chuckle at this irreverently... I don't have gorgeous Rett's endless diplomacy - I want to give you a smack & say get over it, but in a completely playful way (gotta tell you there's many a time I want to do that to myself, but seriously!)... Hard to get that to come across in a computer message though.... I love the write... It's just spilling really isn't it. That's the thing I love about poetry, it is such a wonderful medium for "spilling", these things we might not say. Let me know if I've overstepped the line though, I assure you I mean no disrespect, perhaps it's Australian humour? You DO know I respect your work (and can still chuckle at you literary tantrums in good humour). Anni "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about ideas, language, and even the phrase, "each other" doesn't make any sense."
