THE CROOKED ROAD

THE CROOKED ROAD I walk a crooked roadIn a crooked wayThey sayIt’s not the roadIt’s meI’m sure they are wrongI know I’m walking straightThere is no question in my mindNot up for debate.YetThere are times I do lose my stepKnock into walls and suchDon’t think about it muchAnd tooI doFall once in a whilePick myself up and  smileMust be the bumps in the roadWhat else could it beI just don’t seeWhatOther people see.

I do like the premise of this poem, however it seems to be lacking in depth. Chrys

J.B. Longo-GeremiaIt was

J.B. Longo-Geremia It was just a comic way of dealing with my Parkinson's and the way I see myself sometimes. I s hould have put in a note of explaation. Yes, it does lack depth now that I see it without this content background. Thanks :) Grazie tante Joe

Longo,

I'm actually there right now, in the same place spiritually as this poem. Perhaps yes it could be fleshed out a bit, but to someone also in the spot you are it is a comfort to read. Mark W. Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against these, there is no law!" My favorite verse(s) in the Bible

J.B. Longo-GeremiaThank you,

J.B. Longo-Geremia Thank you, Mark. I am there also spiritually as well as physically. It is a disease, this Parkinsons, that devastates the soul as well as the body. Yet, the spirit fights back with humor, no? Grazie mille [1000 thanks] Joe
