VAMPIRES

VAMPIRES Use your heartForWhat they desireDrink your energyLife’s fireTrap your soul in their embrace Pale and worn You face
Another day Hoping the pain will go away Nothing left of who you wereLost in dark shadows Hope lingers far One salvation Redemption Expiation Love again A wiser man you are

Good poem

This is good, though I'm not sure if I fully understand the ending. May you write many beautiful poems in 2009. Happy New Year. Robert.

Health

Many thanks for wishing me a HEALTHY new year. I have been ill for 18 months (depression, impotence due to medication, and other problems too) but seem to have recovered recently. Here in Spain they toast in the new year by saying 'HEALTH, MONEY AND LOVE'(and by drinking sparkling wine too of course) but when your think about it health is the most important of the three because you can't go shopping or do much loving when you're lying in a hospital bed, can you? (Perhaps that's why 'health' comes first in that saying...) ¡Salud, pesetas (now Euros I suppose) y amor! Robert Melliard. P.S. If you would like to experience Christmas in northern Spain (as witnessed by a fifty-something British immigrant, at least) I recommend my poem called 'Now Christmas is over...', which seems to have gone rather unnoticed (due to all the festivities perhaps...)

Giving the vampire a fascinating role

Ann of Norway This is a rhythm and subject you have described in a very particular way giving the vampire a fascinating role, making a tale out of it, I like it. Longobardolino Annuccia
