Tomato salad (The inflated elephant)

The making of tomato salad must not be taken lightly

To you, it is the pinnacle of art:

“I have my own recipe for my own taste:

I need vinegar like an inflated elephant

and the tin of salt with the small holes

and, yes, I can stir it all with a teaspoon,

and if you think I´ve filled my bowl to the rim,

you´re mistaken,

even though I don´t really need any tomatoes in it.

But what I really wonder is: Will it last forever?”

my dear dragon,

you know how much I adore the offspring :-) your daughter is wise beyond her years, much like her role-model.

when you say wise

you are surely not talking about me, the destroyer of mobile phones and mishandler of other gadgets? Love, Ink

Jayne,

thanks for reading this little witty monologue, I am rather fond of it (Haha, I'm her mum, so small wonder!). Tomatoes can be so delicious, it's a pity that you cannot eat them. I have the same problem with nuts, by the way, and so many cakes, biscuits or pralines have nuts in them, it's a shame (I've got a veeery sweet tooth and would love to eat them). Yours, ~Nina
