Bubba and the Bike

Bubba and the Bike

Bubba has a brand new bike
but doesn't know just what it's like
to see him dressed like a crossing guard
belly hanging like a tub of lard
He thinks he's cool, he thinks he's wild
and ev'ry woman wants his child

Looking down his eagle beak
squinty eyes and big fat cheeks
Police shirt with tail tucked in
Figure like a bowling pin
Double chin hanging down
He's the coolest guy in town

Riding on his Harley bike
Looking like a pig alright
Cool cop shades upon his face
looking for a hiding place
Thinks it's grand to write a ticket
Like to tell him where to stick it!

I beat the ticket. I know the law. You must enter the intersection AFTER the light has turned red, not be in it when it turns red. *G* That will teach him to know the law himself. Ignorance is no excuse as they are fond of saying. I think the biggest problem is that he was very rude. I abhor rudeness in a public servant and most everyone else.

Rett,

I've beaten a few tickets that way, with the letter of the law. I've taken picture of the cross street I even beat one because the officer wrote down the wrong street number by one digit. Isn't it wonderful when you beat these rude "A" holes at their own game. good write only because it's true and I do know the feeling. Good for you my friend!! Eddie

I think the one I enjoyed beating the best was a parking ticket in Houston. It cost me more to beat it than the ticket was, but I'm stubborn. *LOL* I parked in an area that said. No Parking from 12:00 PM to !2:00 AM. I beat it because of the miss wording on the signs. There is no such thing as 12:00 AM or 12:00 PM. There is only 12:00 Noon and 12:00 Midnight. No AM or PM to it. *G* All they would have had to do was put 12:01 PM/AM or 12:00 M/N on the sign, but you know bureaucrats! I am glad it brought laughter to you! Yep, never piss off a poet, you never know what will happen. I believe in saying I was wrong when I was wrong, but when not, well, you couldn't make me with a gun to my head. Stubborn old coot that I am. I won't tolerate rudeness anywhere. Be it policeman, Doctor, lawyer, cashier, manager or friend. After everything was over, I decided, hey, this was funny so...*LOL* Respectfully, Rett: "If law abiding citizens are denied guns, the police don't need theirs. Rett - You made me smile

But you are right, when something like this happens, it gives way to a lot of bitterness. Your anger has been well channeled. Cheers ... Leonard

I'm still cringing from the abomination that you described riding down the street... bleeeaah! Good on you for gettin' one over on him! ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "So you stand on the corner in your new English clothes. Sometimes things just turn out right. BTW, my description was accurate. Big enough he looked like a bear on a minibike. Respectfully, Rett: "If law abiding citizens are denied guns, the police don't need theirs. After all, the criminals aren't feared, just the law abiding citizens." Rett

Hey Rett

You should just obey the law and pay your tickets when you get caught breaking the law. Bubba was just doing his job! Great way to vent your frustrations and anger; in Poetic form. Congrats on beating the ticket and for another fun poem. Tom

*LOL* No way my friend

When I am not wrong, he could put a gun to my head and I wouldn't say so. If I am wrong I will take the ticket and say. yes sir, thank you. *LOL* Glad you got a kick out of it.
