A Warrior called Tink (formerly Right Fighter)

A Warrior called Tink

A fellow poet answering to "George",
Calls me “Tink The Tidy Tempered”
Others call me  "Peacemaker”
And so it is.

There is another side -
A relentless right fighter:
A Warrior.

Can be your worst enemy or
Best ally.

Extremely passionate
About particular beliefs.

Right is right and Wrong is wrong.

There is gray,
Designed simply
By colors manipulated.

So much has been seen during this life's journey.
With unanswerable questions pondered.

My heart leads me,
While consequences are weighed.

Harboring no regrets, this is me
Experienced from battles fought.

Every mountain conquered
Has strengthed me,
Though I paid in blood and tears.
I hold tight the treasures gained.

The cuts run deep
From my sword of words.

I will tend to your wounds,
With genuine thoughtfullness.

As I look at my mirror’s reflection,
My soul contently smiles,
With peaceful slumber
I rest through the night.

Forever I stand ready,
With my sword in hand
Ready for the next battle.

This is a great affirmation

I even felt a bit powered up reading that. Not sure if as a poem it equals it's content. Man thinks this.

Tink

I believe at times we could be one and the same! I spent so much of my childhood fighting that I prefer to take the peaceful path anymore but that passion is something I can not control for long and when it flares the whole world will smolder, then in the aftermath I can be found picking up the pieces and putting out the fires... sigh...we are what makes the world go round my friend...we are women hear us roar LOL <3 Emarie @~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@~~~~~~~@ "Tempted by your Tainted Love I sure do love the way you come inside my crystal ball..." Thank you all.

Thank you eddie, steven, mark and emarie for taking time to read and comment. Eddie and Emarie, i'm glad you liked it and were touched by it. I agree with steven and mark, that as a poem, it needed more work. The content good and message strong, but not quite right. I re-worked some. I'm still not 100% happy with it. The last stanza needs more impact wordage, having problems closely this with the proper punch. Please keep suggestions coming. Thank you Tink

Think Black Mountain

I have a friend his name is George. Calls me “Tink The Tidy Tempered” But as well some call me “The Peacemaker” And so it is. Extremely passionate About particular beliefs. Your worst enemy Best ally too. Tink you see the changes? Look for the redundancy, take it out and work with what is left. I am almost into a Black Mountain Crealey style here. Give it a go and maybe google Robert Crealey (maybe Creeley) Keep on keeping on you will conquer this :) Man thinks this.

definately brings a

definitely brings a dominating, yet, gentle side of yourself. the theme does work, and as for the last stanza, the only unsettling effect i get from it is the prospect of something else coming.... it doesn't throw off anything, i only noticed because you had mentioned. it works well with the rest of the poems. My favorite lines "There is gray,Designed simply By colors manipulated." great lines, really stuck out to me, as it portrays the entire poem on itself thanks Washington fear

It is onerous on all warriors

are you fighting on the right side? Sometimes you must fight for self survival, sometimes you must care for your tribe, it can get complicated. But a warrior must always know what they are fighting for. Always, if not at the time possible, then afterwards and take responsibility. Always. Even if we were wrong. Especially so, we are the last frontiers of humanity before war, we can't be sure But we can try. And must be accountable. We are not soldiers or mercenaries, we are the last front and the first We are warriors. Protectors. cheers, Jess "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" Benjamin Franklin, wonder what he would think of the Patriot Act.

Warrior

I like the anology> You with your sword. And if your sword is your tongue and you defend with words than your sword is about seven feet long with barbs fastened to the blade. I will do no battle with you!!

again, my thanks to everyone commenting!

thank you all for your help and comments on this one. although i have re-worked it three times, i still think it needs more attention. as for notso and muttering - shhhhhhhh, people here don't know me like you two and they like me here!!!!!!!!!!! don't blow my cover!!!!! lol what can i say i don't take kindly to bullies nor to being cornered nor to being treated like a lazy piece of crap like the bill collectors treat people. and contrary to popular belief, although i may be little, i am not a push-over! plus i like to surprise people who think they can get over on me. (my evil laugh here, tehehe) Live, Laugh and Love (and don't forget to write) Tink
