Another Terrorist Attack?

To Weirdelf who once asked me the question - and a very pertinent one too  :" Where is humanity?"  I'd like to answer with a quote by Bob Dylan:

The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

We should not blame only the perpetrators of these cowardly acts but also those countries/people whom - by their very complacency  and lackadaisical attitudes  - allow these acts to take place.

Breaking news:

Mumbai is  burning

Another terror attack?

Taj Mahal and Oberoi

Under siege

Over a hundred people killed and

Still counting

Many more injured

God - these terror attacks

One after the other

Endless!!!!

Tough talk

Tough condemnation

Accusatory fingers pointing

To a certain country - a certain race

Empty words of sympathy

Relayed by the powers that be

What about the injured, the dying and the dead?

What do these messages do for them, their families?

Do they even listen or

Take the Government seriously?

Today it's Mumbai

Tomorrow it could be Delhi,

Kolkata, Chennai, Mangalore

Anywhere - it could be anywhere

There will be more tough talk

More condemnation

More accusations

More threats

More empty words of comfort

Which will

Gradually  simmer down until

The next terror attack

All I can say Leonard

Is my sincere condolences to those. Perhaps we should no longer call them terrorists. Cowards seems like a better word to me. Have a problem or dislike something, go out and kill a bunch of innocent unarmed people and pretend you are doing something great. Cowards. Good write Leonard and makes a person think. Life is precious. Respectfully, Rett: "If law abiding citizens are denied guns, the police don't need theirs. After all, the criminals aren't feared, just the law abiding citizens." Rett

Another Terrorist Attack

Leonard, A thought-provoking piece you did a great job with this~ If you are brought up with hate, you will hate. Just my personal feelings~ _____________________________ To write a touching poem, you must gently stir the soul, if it brings forth tears or smiles, then the story was beautifully told. ________Janice Pearce_________

Hello Leonard

As always talk will be cheap. How do we turn it around? I wish I knew. Feel very helpless. Deelilah

Leonard

This is a troubling subject. Kids shooting guns when they are 7 and 8. scary. as my grandmother used to say "what is this world coming to?" Personally I know that all offenses will be dealt with, maybe not by the worldly ways. I have to look to God and take the day off. Patty

Leonard...

such a powerful write! Cowards... yes, the term fits well and I am sure not any of them would like the term... Terrorists is a much more empowering term... It is sad to think that man has not advanced enough to know that accepting our brothers is our path... I don't think we can lend a hand to someone with a bomb in theirs... but I do think that there are men and women on every side of every side that know acceptance is the answer... sorry for rambling on... it is your fault for posting this poem... thanks for doing it... Richard
