Memories of You

Memories of You

A bit of silk floating by,
A strand or two of hair,
A slipper laying on the ground,
A stocking over there.

A whispered word of love,
A tender embrace or two,
The soft caress of the wind,
Sweet memories of you.

A giggle in the darkness,
The flash of bare skin,
The whisper of the grass,
Talking with a friend.

A chuckle at being naughty,
Skinny-dipping at dusk,
Holding hands with someone,
You completely trust.

A bit of silk floating by,
A soft embrace or two,
The sweet caress of a friend,
Sweet memories of you...

Nice, easygoing write. Like a brook trickling by. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "The term "paranoid" would seem to indicate a lack of preparation.... I prefer to be labled "hypervigilant"

I've noticed recently

that you have been using repetition much more often. I think it works well in this piece, as it has in the others. You are a gifted writer and the imagery was superb. You not only took me to that Texas pond, but you took me back to some of my fondest memories as well. Bravo again, my friend. Tom

You are correct Tom

Repetition used judiciously is a very good form. It creates the sense of completeness in a work. Thank you for the kind words and I am glad I evoked fond memories as that was the purpose of this write. Each of us has certain memories that are special to us and sometimes it helps to be reminded of them. Thank you sir. BTW. I still have fun when I say pond out here. Although I am a Texan by birth I was raised in South Mississippi and a lot of people out here call ponds tanks. A cultural thing I guess. I still call them ponds.
