Forgotten Places
Face down
Top undone
Forehead to
Forearm
Palms to
Soft cotton
Over yielding
Prickly ground
Sweet smell
Of sun cooking
Freshly cut grass
And coconuts…
Not long before
Diamond droplets
Form down,
Down, down
Naked spine
And thigh
Smells of browning
Skin and Tropics
Makes me wonder
If we could not
Be such a tasty
Dish?…
Over now
Time to bronze
The valley
And hills
Laying hidden
From peepers
Behind my cedar
Planked shield
Dark visions
Warm to pink
As I rest facing
My accomplice
Diamond droplets
Return now
Covering the canyon
And its massive walls
Entertaining sinister
Ideas of raging
A river straight down
The center of me…
Sudden rude
Awakening now
A cooling gust
Bullies warmth
And sets my skin
Afire with the likes of
Goosebumps?!?!?!?
Threatening now
My newly
Waxed thighs
And sending
My peeks to
Their highest
Point
Those droplets
Seem to freeze
Muscles tenses
Leaning up now
Newly iced river
Decides to flow
Down, down,
Down…
Draft breaks
And sun comes
To my rescue
Blushing me
Pink once more
Melting icy trails
And exciting
Forgotten places
Top undone
Forehead to
Forearm
Palms to
