Earthset

Earthset

Thunder's roar
Lightning's flash
Running scared
Running fast

Mushroom clouds
Silent rain
Bullets fly
Searing pain

Watered blood
Dizzy head
Stumble on
Nameless dread

Visions seek
Terror too
Seeking eyes
Stabbing you

Mindless talk
Echoes loud
Death is come
Wear the shroud

Thanks diana

I appreciate it. Respectfully, Rett: "You want change? Let's elect a president and give him total power for a year. At the end of one year he is marched out into the middle of Reliant Stadium in Houston and locked in with 50,000 of the American people. Let them decide

War?

Sounds like a soldier's write. Another dream?! Daggum, you have to start laying off the steak and potatoes right before bed, my friend... LOL! Although the results are turning into some rather cool poems. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"So you stand on the corner in your new English clothes, and you look so polished from your hair down to your toes. Ah, but still your finger's gonna pick your nose after all." - Billy Joel

Thanks Jess

I appreciate it. It is something I am afraid of if we stay on the course mapped out for the next four years if we listen to the news media. I hate dreams like this because my mother tended to have them with an awfully good record of being right. Anyway, scares hell out of me. Glad you found it interesting. This was more than interesting! Wow once again, I wish I had vivid dreams like this even if they terrify you, they come out very well on paper. ~~~~~~~~~~~Wanda Sykes For President~~~~~~~~

Thank you Janice

I usually find them more interesting on the paper than when I have them. *LOL* I just dried this one out and let it shrink to size. Respectfully, Rett: "You want change? Matter of fact Tom

I almost named it Apocolipse Soon but decided against it. I hope it is just a nightmare. Respectfully, Rett: "You want change? Let's elect a president and give him total power for a year. Much obliged Leonard

I wasn't at all sure the rhythm would come through to the reader, but you have assuaged my fear. I had a stamp stamp type rhythm in mind kind of reminiscent of marching feet. That was a BLAST

Unique in that it is a slow read for me and so few words. Helps me to really grab it (this style) Cool where ya got the rhythum from as I read in about that speed and could feel it. Thanks, Rett Mark Man thinks this.

Thanks Mark

Sometimes a simple rhythm is what is best as the marching cadence in band or the military. Very glad you enjoyed it my friend. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby" Rett: 2008

End?

As you said, rhythm is great here. I feel it did not ended. The strength at the end is like an impromptu that should go on.

Johann

Thanks, not all of mine have a strong rhythm but most have a rhythm to them. I appreciate you taking the trouble to look this one up. I have to agree, this one feels like it could go on and on, but where to stop the marching feet? Much obliged.
