Barking Dogs

Barking Dogs

I try hard to understand
how people who are so smart
can yet be too blind to see
the whole instead of the part

They tend to blindly follow
where they are like puppies led
by those whose sole agenda
is not truth, but greed instead

Their companies smartly sell
carbon credits to them all
while they preach consumate lies
about earth’s pending downfall

and people blindly follow
with no real research to see
the half-truths and the falsehoods
they all tell to you and me

They fly around in their jets
consuming more energy
in just one month than a year
for we who refuse to see

houses illuminated
like the airport runway lights
reminding me of the dogs
that all bark, but never bite

Thank you very much easy

I am a man that questions most everything and when someone starts talking about something and how bad it is I tend to start digging and find out the truth. Sometimes the truth is scary and sometimes the ones who profess to know the truth are even scarier. I tend to want people to think and investigate instead of just quoting and believing all the hype verbatim. Usually the truth lies somewhere between. I appreciate your reading and commenting very much. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby!" Rett 2008.

Exactly Donnie

I say they need to lead by example. Make the exact same rules they want to impose upon us apply to them. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby!" Rett 2008.

Outstanding, and unfortunately very true observations. Kind of like the people the build multi-million dollar homes, and have to cool it / heat it in the winter and summer. "We must stop traffic pollution!" as they ride around in their V8 that gets 10 mile to the gallon. *shakes head* will we ever learn? ~Jess ---------------------------------------------------- "Just 'cause you have one, doesn't mean you need to be one....."

*LOL*

I drive around in my pickup that gets 11-13 in town and 17-19 on highway. but we also have a car that gets from 27 to 32 MPG on highway. It is easier for me to climb in the truck and fall out than to fall into the car and climb out. On a serious note though, as long as we listen to those fools and not think for ourselves we will get nowhere but broke. Al Gore makes millions and also owns a company that sells carbon credits. I wonder why he touts global warming and carbon emissions? How about you? *LOL* Thanks Jess, I appreciate it. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Different Perspective

I've always knew dogs were smart, but your perspective has challenged even my understanding regarding truths. Nice. I'll start to incorporate this within my realist theory in my poetry and see if I can dig up truths. Overall Good Poem with a nice presentation.

Thanks Samuel

I tend to study both sides of an issue and try to sort fact from other motives. One of the favorites I have found is that one volcano eruption puts out more pollution that all the cars and trucks ever made lumped together. That blew my mind. That's what I need to do. Start unraveling truths in society.....
