Voice of Reason

The voice of reason has arrived
helping all of us to "see",
gone, were the pathways we had strived
and dumb, were we collectively.

But, as far as our ambitions
and the hopes that help us pray,
we all endure transitions,
integrety's measured by what we do, not say.

Someday maybe I'll understand
why everyone's upset.
with a life so large, in our great land,
and every room, with a T.V. set.

If one were playing Poker,
most wouldn't play this "hand".
It's like a story by Brahm Stoker,
but, much less eloquent and grand.

So, without upsetting all around,
I will lay one fact, on you;
our lives, and blessings are merely "loaned",
so, we'd better adhere to what is true.
