Shra-Ka-Reen, (Book I of II, Part I of IX)
Shra-Ka-Reen,
(Book I of II, Part I of IX)
Prologue, The Sleeper Awakes
Deep within the Mountains of the Stars
A lush valley sparkles and shines
Lovely glades, red and gold flowers,
Babbling brooks, water pure and fine
Shro-Ka-Loern stands waiting
There sits the Temple of Heaven
Ebony and silver it waits alone
As it awaited when first man came
Gazing in awe upon midnight stone
And the tower stretching skyward
Around the Temple a coal dark wall
Four the corners, a central tower
Wide the graceful entrance arch
Strong the gate guarding the power
Man dares not enter there
Through the arch a cobbled yard
To steps that spread so wide
That twenty could walk abreast
To the passage leading inside
Where is reached the inner tower
Brave the men around Shro-Ka-Loern
But foolish are those who tried
To breach the sacred temple
For those men have died
All know that death walks within
Through wax and wane of many moons
Fog in mystery has lain a shroud
And the temple has appeared
To float there upon a cloud
Strange noises from within
Sunlight touches upon the valley floor
Creeping through meadows and streams
Till it alights upon the temple gates
Within the sleeper awakes from dreams
To walk at last upon the land
