I Was Offered Cherries
I Was Offered Cherries
The grapes were all ripened.
They clung to the vine,
And the air was redolent
With the sweet smell of wine,
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass divine...
Her lips were like honey,
So sweet to the taste,
And budding young breasts
Over a thin lovely waist.
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass so chaste...
Her hair was the color
Of a fine Chardonnay,
Her cheeks were a-blush
In the grass where we lay.
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass today...
The grapes were all ripened.
They clung to the vine,
And the air was redolent
With the sweet smell of wine,
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass divine...
Her lips were like honey,
So sweet to the taste,
And budding young breasts
Over a thin lovely waist.
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass so chaste...
Her hair was the color
Of a fine Chardonnay,
Her cheeks were a-blush
In the grass where we lay.
And I was offered cherries
By a young lass today...
