Precious Valentine

precious valentine

red construction paper
dull scissors
string and glue
broken crayon’s
scribbled letters spell
“mommy, I love you”
sleepless nights as young boys grow
maternal hands that mold the man
clutch beads until he takes a wife
but one thing you must understand
sweethearts come and sweethearts go
until he finds that special one
but the most precious of all valentines
is between a mother and her son
a special message from my heart
holds true until the end of time
remember this and every Valentine’s day
you’re my first
and my most precious
Valentine

at seeking forgivness, from a mother. I am sure she is proud and forgives, as all mothers do. Great write, Mark

The most precious gift, other than grandchildren a son can give his mother. Wonderful write. Rett: It may look easy, when you look at me, But it took years of effort, to become the mess that you see John Fogerty
