When he loves another

I could see it in the way he moved and the far off distant look in his eyes. But most of all,I felt it in his touch. Those feelings he kept locked up inside, eating away at the very best of the man I once knew.

Once warm and tender, his touch was cold and empty now.I knew when it happened this would come to pass. But it came upon me so suddenly.Like a snake striking its prey,I could not move.

But now I have work to do.I love him,but he is in love with another.I must do what I can.If love truly exist there,I shall help them find it.That one thing I've been searching for,I shall not deny another.

For aren't we all lost souls trying to find our home?Aren't we all sniffing out and some of us even savoring that sweet smell of love? That one taste of wholeness? To feel, even for a moment, complete?

Oh that drifting away...

I have felt mesmerized too, not by the venomous strike but the hypnotic eyes. One thing I have learned and hope you can as some never do, is that I can be complete alone, though it's better with two, cheers, Jess
