Canvas
A wispy last breath
A ghost floating
Over rotting flesh
Not wanting to leave
That’s me
If I were a canvas
I would be
Black, purple, blue.
Bright yellow.
Red.
Light pink.
Sage green.
And so much grey.
The ghost has begun to
Read the rest of the poem Show less
chase rainbows,
not for gold, but for the promise
that it would feel like magic.
That the rainbow would tattoo
permanent color
into its nonexistent flesh.
and paint her in every shade
of happiness.

"Sometimes" by @patrysw3
"I like the concept, and some of your rhymes are really good, but some of them sound a bit forced as well. If you can't find a perfect rhyme, try to use a slant rhyme; it makes the poem flow better. (the ending and like…" -
