Let It Slide
When I start feeling low you see
There is only one thing I need
When blade and skin collide
I let it slide
Let it slide
Nothing like the feel
Of cold steel
When I need to heal
I don't want to take a pill
When I start feeling low you see
There is only one thing I need
When blade and skin collide
I let it slide
Let it slide
Read the rest of the poem Show less
I always wear long sleeves
That way no one can see
The scars that are on me
How I set my pain free
I know one night I'll go to deep
Won't wake up when I fall asleep
Then maybe people will see
All the pain I had in me
When I start feeling low you see
There is only one thing I need
When blade and skin collide
I let it slide
Let it slide
When I start feeling low you see
There is only one thing I need
When blade and skin collide
I let it slide
Let it slide
Let it slide
Let it slide
Let
It
Slide

About Me
I am from El Paso Texas. My depression is layering on top of me more and more until I feel like I can no longer breathe. My past catches up with me like a ghost rider on a pale horse overtaking me. The only light I had has melted away like a candle that will never burn again. For you see I feel my future lies buried in my past that over shadows my present. I do not know how much longer I can live in this plastic world made up of plastic people as my plastic dreams start to melt away into insomniac nightmares. In the world I must exist in I keep trying to hide like a ghost in the walls. From this state of depression is where I write my poems.
