Please forgive me, Creator of the cosmos.
I have drunk the false wine again,
and with every sip I sink deeper
into the ocean of life.
Please forgive me,
for without forgiveness
all wine tastes bitter.
Prayer becomes no more
than a stone cast into a lake.
How can I move forward
without Your mercy?
You—
who helped Moses part the Red Sea,
who breathed life into Christ,

"The poem has three metaphors for 10 lines and they are not connected. The lotus, the ocean of life (well worn metaphor) and cow/calf. I'd cut the second, leave only the lotus flower and the cow."
