Bartender
Bartender, pour me the pink rose-flavored wine of love.
With it, I shall forget the pains of both worlds.
O bartender, fill my cup to its brim,
so I may forever be drunk on love
and find rest here and in the Hereafter.

Neopoet AI [2026-06]
The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:
The poem works best in its opening image: "pink rose-flavored wine of love" has a sensory specificity that earns attention, and the bartender as addressee gives the piece an immediate dramatic situation. The phrase "pains of both worlds" carries genuine weight by implying a cosmological scale — earthly and spiritual suffering at once — without over-explaining it.
The closing two lines, however, lose some of that earned tension. "Forever be drunk on love" is a familiar formulation, and "find rest here and in the Hereafter" resolves the poem rather than deepening it. The opening gesture toward oblivion feels restless and urgent; the ending feels settled, almost comfortable. One possibility worth exploring is whether the final image could hold onto some of that instability — what if the drunkenness on love is not restful but still disorienting, still excessive? Resisting the tidy resolution might let the poem's emotional core, that reckless desire to dissolve, remain alive all the way to the last word.

Howdy! I'm Tink
Welcome to Neopoet!
Thank you for sharing your first poem with us. It's on interesting take. Being a bartender, we are often seen with many different hats, other than just serving alcohol. We are so often asked to give advice on love...
I have nothing to offer in making this any better. Good job. I look forward to reading more of your work.
Please reach out if you have any questions or need help navigating through Neopoet. You can usually find me in the chatroom.
