too late tonight ....edit by a friend

All rivers flow from North to South
except the Mississippi which flows from East to west.
As does the hands of a man sailing over human breast,
so they then follow the normal flow from top to toe.

As all rivers naturally flow.

Sigh, they heave like the Nile,
the Brahmaputra the moving oceans to sense;
and tease then ease every commotion.

Soon these rivers will merge and submerge
with the real vast ocean and human sighs
will fall and satisfy in solutions.

Night of Fright...

The pad of small feet, approached from behind
he stood and thought silent, lost in his mind

Small, trembling fingers clutched the cloth of his sleeve
Caught unaware, replete in his grief

A little, white figure dressed in a sheet
the very last thing he expected to meet

Silver-blue ribbons in the black sky
revealed a sad face, to his unblinking eye

“Please sir, please help me, I've lost my way home”
“My friends have all left me, left me to roam”

AFFLICTION

AFFLICTION

The Time of miracles is done.
Prayers, pleas, and holy litanies :
empty echoes falling in empty spaces.
We are puppets on a string
we human beings
pulled to a destined finality..
We stumble through a lifetime
hoping it will never end
and holding on with failing energy
no matter how painful it can be..
Yet in our final moments
it is only then we see
that heroes truly are we
who have survived our humanity.

When The Earth Was Born (Limerick WS)

When our earth planet was born
'twas a wild, ferocious morn
Then it started to cool
In a swimming pool
a boo bounce dance like a pop corn

People Tend To Judge Things They Care Not To Know

Some people tend to say things they shouldn't
Make dead wrong assumptions, I wish she wouldn't
About people they care to know nothing about
When they open their mouth
It would be wrong to put my fist in her grille, so I couldn't .

I'll think before I shoot
Vicious venom and a boot
In her face to cease the burning rage
Rolling in me like the ocean waves
It would be wrong to crush that tongue of hers always ready to pollute.

Someone's Daughter

Its the smell,
the faint sweet stench of rot
that oozes from abandoned house
as empty as the psychopath
that lured her there.

She needed cash
for drugs to make her
feel normal and forget;
he needed slow death
to feel release.

She didn't struggle,
didn't fight back when he attacked,
too surprised to react
with anything but shock.

He let her go,
once, twice, then three times,
enjoying her gasps
and nakedness,
vulnerable each time
he squeezed again.

Renga 11 "Dedication"

Renga 11 “Dedications”

For the ones I loved
who have stood by me through time
I send my prayers
May your life be blessed, my dear
now until the end of time

I love you always
Spiritually complete
I shall need no more
I held you for many years
I shall hold you beyond time

You are my sunshine
brightening my life with love
when I need it most
like the north star you guide me
in darkest hours of life

Chasing the High (Revised)

On the day I was born
they made me cry
Now i shall weep
until the day i die

for i was born
in a world made for others
i'm not like them
no, not even my brothers

There's a line on the mirror
and smokin' bud in the vase
a fifth of whiskey on ice
to find that quiet place

but it just never seems
to be quite enough
i need to escape
i need to lose all touch

days go by...

...weeks go by

i'm in a chase
tryin' to catch that high

WETLANDS

WETLANDS

In the early morning hours
a dank gray mist
slowly makes its way
from the everglades
just two miles away..
The waters of the canals
and lakes begin to stir
in ominous wakes
that gracefully dance
toward the shore
slowly and silently
hiding death's fury.

Life in the everglades
returns to the place
of its beginnings.
It is mating season
vicious and deadly
to all living things.
