B A K K I E ..

eleven and two
my fingers grip the trucks wheel
Silence stretches
from her nose to her tail
the frame jagged
on ruts cut deep in the bigger rains

draws air in sharp
and turns
a profile of beautfiul
youthful jaw
and dark lashes
flipping in thought
like a stormline
at the stateedge

hair full of natural
highlights
and sheen

knees bent
feet up against
the glass

We have our rifles
and sidearms
and Motorola

Deceit

Sorry folks. I have dumped this in the trash can. The reasons you can see in the comments by Senior and Seasoned poets who did not find it appealing. So, I bow to the collective opinion all in good taste and without any regret.

Regards,

Oblivion Stirs

My eyes open.
The deep dark, is vast and unchanging.

Memories trickle
I see nothing, fear nothing, feel nothing
Rejected by the empty sphere of Oblivion
I gasp,
for air where there is none

Consumed and fatigued.
Yet no eyes to rub.

Sentience reignited
Yet, in the weakness and forgotten muscles, the tightening fist creaks
Strength,
only in what memory can tell

Thought galvanized
From the calm of the nothing

The wind silences

Okay you lead

VIKING or TITANIC

You don't say!
Yes I'd deserve one
sitting atop the
TITANIC
but do not panic
many come here to stay
they need to be pushed away
while some came just yesterday
did you see
how some cynic pushed them away

God... whoever he or she may be
resides in the jungles of mind
cobwebs at times
eyes' blind
but have you noticed
as I do everyday
Newspapers say
1923 born are still on their way
yet 2000 born were taken by a flight straight away

Life Is Hard Enough

Why can't people stay in their lane?
Stay out other people's marriage
Love one another in knowledge
Not in other people's knowledge.

Why can't meddlers stay their own course
Why can't meddlers stay in their lane?
If he ain't concern with her tone
Why you making it your concern?

She's having everything her way
He's gets all his loving his way
Why can't haters stay in their lane?
The mis'rables loves company.

BEHIND THE NUMBERS

* Unemployment rate lowest since 2007. But........

I was a well paid carpenter in two thousand eight
then due to the banks' mistakes
I became a victim of cruel fate

I ran the newest textile loom
zero defects was my theme
NAFTA led to my job's doom

I was a solar cell technologist
thinking my cutting edge job safe
then China bought the company...guess you get the gist

I mined coal, I sold homes, I forged steel,
the list goes on and on.....
of things the numbers don't reveal

just sometimes...

memories are precious
but dangerous

moments in looking-glasses
labelled yesterdays
from which we sip savours of
gone glories
and outstanding regrets

if we spend too much time with
only the piquancy of past on our palate
we forget to make new reflections

and our lives become
as a hall of mirrors
with continuous
eternal tastings of
old, satisfying flavours

Mama

Mama...mama...mama

Where are you now? I just can't

accept..No mama why so soon?

You see I just...I was

planning to visit you on New Year's eve.

Me, my lover, we planned... we did!

Honest! but we thought you got better and it was

difficult because...fireworks. There were

fireworks everywhere and I am scared of them

so we decided to visit you by the next day

but mom woke me up

"Mama's dead! Why didn't you visit her when you can?"

Mama...mama..mama...

Waves Clashing Shore of Myrtle Beach

My toes wiggled in the cool sand
Waves crashed onto shore, Myrtle Beach
I sat bottom of beach house steps
The ripples move in then move out.

Part of the beach is washed away
My toes wiggled in the cool sand
My heart pulled into the ocean
Cool, damp, salty breeze on my skin

Never before seen an ocean
Its Divine power drew me in
My toes wiggled in the cool sand
Skies meets water in the distant.
