To Be An Angel of Hope (A Quartern)

I wish I had a pair of wings
to soar across the sky, so blue
to save the weak from endless wars
and make their dream for peace come true

I've heard the news of starving men
I wish I had a pair of wings
to offer food and drinks to them
and end the tears that hunger brings

Dear God, I see the young in pain
betrayed and used, denied of rights!
I wish I had a pair of wings
to free their hearts and bring delights.

To Tread This Earthly Corridor - ( For April Contest )

The earth is ours, a home to live
a time to take, a time to give.
We wake each morn, some rich, some poor
to tread this earthly corridor.

I fear for us, oh don't you see
how greed pervades humanity
unyielding nations fight in war
to tread this earthly corridor.

In ignorance we'll be bereft
when naked earth is stripped and left
devoid of life with men no more
to tread this earthly corridor.

T A L E W I N D Z

shed a shadow
in a room the blackness drawn
Outside drips spring
undoing her delicate lace
a disrobe
in the harsh light of disbelief

An angle on a portion
your bust in profile
hidden with a wing
of sullen hair

An angel with a potion
dusk in docile
smitten lairs
we null paired

sparred a bad row
songs hissing
turning tables
needle fallow
round and
round
dripping
its finger point
as an angry
sun
falls
down

My Sweet Home (Critique & Criticism WS)

My home is built with tender hands, yet strong;
its roof is love that keeps it tight and warm,
its doors -respect and patience, won't go wrong
with crystal windows, even after storms.

If mild or harsh the winter seasons are,
or windy falls that tail the warmth of summer,
I see the healthy sunny days aren't far
to rest this tiresome soul once hit with hammer.

Inheritors and Benefactor

This is something I think is entirely new. In this experiment a story is told from two perspectives: a mutated rat on the left and one of the last dying humans on the right.Poem should be read first stanza on left, first stanza on right , second on left, second on right and so forth until the end. In the event this is truly something new I'm calling this parallel poetry as it means to read two poems at the same time from two different viewpoints.

O O O give me a kiss eh!

O O O give me a kiss eh!

hahahahaaa
you said it friend

give me a kiss eh!

never give in

when loss is assured...
but you may still win

I always advise my kids

''NO'' IS IN YOUR POCKET

BUT DO ASK

IT MAY BECOME A ''YES''

ELSE HOW WILL IT EVER

IF YOU REMAIN SILENT?

They smile and say
Give a 100 dollars
right away

I can only afford ten
they take it happy and go away
and
KISS MY NOSE FOR FREE!

maids beware

I’d girlish thoughts a knight in shining armour
arriving on a steed of strength and speed
would lift me up on his enchanted charger
be tender of a woman’s growing need

to take me from my tiny single bed
and make my life a sentimental song
with promises of love he’d fill my head
and blindly I would follow right along

but years and age have cooled my youthful ardour
I realise he never did exist
the one who came was dressed all white with splendour
disguised to fool, and turn ideals to mist

A Kyrielle (April Contest)

When queried as to where I live,
I ponder not and always give
an answer I’ve prepared to say ~
that “Heaven’s not so far away.”

May God have mercy on us all,
for we’ve been haunted since The Fall,
but I am grateful every day
our Heaven’s not so far away.

My home, my life is paradise.
I live in grace and pay no price,
for with my wife as we turn grey
my Heaven’s not so far away.

jadgged Edges

I run my fingers over jagged edges
and look to you
as if to say
this is alright
as you stand there
watching me bleed

if only, my darling
you could see
what i see
oh open your eyes
and look

FOR I AM GREAT'
and why should i not be
is it not ok
to feel like a god
is it a sin
to feel unshakable
indestructible beauty
and truth

Only LOVE

why tell lies
I am a cynosore
of many an eye...
my eyes see
nothing beyond beauty...

why tell lies..
I love bees ... birds.. animals ...gals and guys ..

why tell lies
they all love me too ...
why shouldn't they...

but love is sublime ..
for those who are divine...
we all love with our hearts superfine ..

why tell lies
some day may be in another incarnation ...
together we may get to gather...
but till then why bother ...
we won't know one from another...
