glimmerslide
shotgunned
rode
Fan motor gushing
air
The vertigo green
laughter
clap

Deep the depths
torrid bound
the floor found

eyeglass world
bent eyeing cherry
legs
summer jets
lifting went

the motor stunned
vibrato
discarded tilted
sapato

dreamland vend
discard token
fallen to the slot
from rails broken

Lay lay way
ward the screen
world a crawl
away

Anzac mourn

Soft shuffles in the still shadows
sound beneath solemn postures.
We stand in unison,
surrounded by an aura of profound sadness,
as all, silently, await the rise of sun.

Face Your Destiny

Do you believe you can attain your dreams
without the sweat of true dedication?
You hope to receive when you've done nothing,
but there're no rewards for missing actions
A stagnant life, collecting fantasies
worth nothing in the face of reality

Reach for the fire within and commit
your heart and soul to embrace a purpose!
May perseverance be the steel of will.
and you'll be, a gift to all, not a curse
Face your destiny wiith pride and courage
as a true warrior in the coming of age

In their blood a nation raised

Before the yellow sun
tips the blade of long grass
Gently waving in the hand
Of not yet morning,
but not yet light

cliffs shimmer and shiver
of a memories journey
through offerings of life
cast in the utter horror
of the bloody
berth of a nation
Trembling deep earth ...

A lone poppy now stands firm

Before the silent throng
begins our Anzac morning dirge
I will stand in contemplation
Of the sacrifice made
In your blood

it is stained, tears rolled the page

V i o l e t t e c o u e r

Nuzzle vanilla warmth
extinguished in its
pungent push
like petals swoon
in jealous suns
Bask in vivid
exclamations
sing the sighs
that Loves refreshment
brings

Devour constitution night
each succulent and tender
star like sweets upon
supplicant tongue
innocent airs
tinged with dark need lairs

Slip hips into steady step
streamlined gallant
heady depths

mouthed pronunciations
glossy paragraphs
on thorn gloves
of tenderness

the princes of infatuation

in the kingdom of the fallen, broken princes chariots,
undead, but the feet cogitate threadbare stumps ,
the soul that the body thinks ignoble, is disappearance
and if there's thought of life's mission, omission supersedes
no more court jesters, no more armoury, the praise,
since it lodged him in a quarterly of the full moon
in quantity he is a sandcastle held by childrenbeach
though there are none of them that still steel.

Under

Witness of your mother, who stumbled through her
pyrite paths, you raised yourself
At the zealous brink of her chemical haze

Before you were five
the water swallowed you up
They fished you out
pumped feral oxygen
through you

Disease wove a second time
around the smoke they smeared over your
hardened lungs

You, grown, now had
the last sweetened brush of
infant palms, curve of a smile
from a little life you thought you would raise
passed to new arms

stowaway on an engine hung

what is the end of; bleed of a stone, and you die for
herald helmed some rubbished synagogue

Give More, Why less

When you pardon, do it with grace
if you can give more, why give less

To those hurt, give them much solace
if youcan give more, why give less

If one is not enough, give brace
if you can give more, why give less

When wrong, don't be shy to confess
if you can give more, why give less

Win or lose, give your best in race
if you can give more, why give less

May kindness reflect from the face
if you can give more, why give less

goodness is about graciousness
if you can give more, why give less

Always Alone

He promised that he'd help her, but he won't stay
Soon he'll be gone, so where would she lay?
Would she cry in her bedroom all filled with need?
Or will she punish herself and make herself bleed?
He is tearing her apart limb from limb
And she's drowning because she doesn't know how to swim
Don't they see that she's sinking?
Why won't they help her?
What are they thinking?
She's sick and tired of saying "I'm fine"
Look into her eyes, don't you see all the lies?
