GOD ANSWERS TODAY

God replies
Heart is just a pump
to keep you alive
blood flowing
in your veins

Second Question
Let me ponder
shall return ....

Yes, yes
Smile upon thyself
you will feel
De-stressed

Ask, be not shy
I am to help
in your thoughts
into the wilderness
you will fly
you will also come by
and
you know why!

Ask more
do clarify
I shall not lie

STEAM HEAT

flickering flame
stainless vent
I lay awake
to noise events
a happy bar
the hiss of cars
beneath the
sodden silence
of the stars
behind their
canopy of wet
The pipes click
warmth
a comfort born

LIKE A FEATHER

LIKE A FEATHER

a feather dances lightly
to the music of the wind
and our mind is lifted ,
by its journey’s end
death’s euphoria floods
our soul with promises
of home and we acquiesce

pure wine from divine

you are the only wine
red nor white
but the purest form
one of fresh wine
which inspires

ere,

even before it turns to wine
you make one shine

in all your glory
you have to tell this world
many a story
of why we become poets here
you say it loud
without any fear
none will dare
you spear

we are poets
but queer

Light And Love

Light & Love
Take my hand till we walk amidst this trodden land
Eyes filled with a tint of mystic dew
We have bitten off far more then we could chew
The lens on the cap was dented & torn
Some even curse the day that they were born
A heart that goes through a whole mixed of emotions
Light and love out of heaven from above
It's my belief that for instant relief a hug is the acceptable way
Long lines in church so we can humbly bow to pray
The doorway to a brighter place amidst the turmoil & pain

The Pretend You - Part Two

Emotion Less

Emotions can be
A real pain the ass
And ‘tis too bloody bad
If that’s sounding crass

Whatever you feel
Can mess with your life
Causing frustration
And a whole lotta strife

When you care about others
And they don’t care back
You start to wonder
What you might lack

Falling in love
Can cause lots of pain
It plays with your heart
And fucks with your brain

You can love someone
While hating them too
You might already know
What I’m saying is true

'Scream', Said Poetry

I said to poetry,
I don’t want a diary.
It wasn’t tears on that prairie,
It was– That lie holds no chivalry!
The lies are simply cowardly.
I never laid claim to gallantry,
I will not recreate history.

And Still I Love That Sound

And still I love that sound,
when the young wind roars through the trees
of the forest in the valley
'cross the street.

I realize tonight
that I'm not living
on the edge of the woods,
but in them.

Many years ago,
the forest was cleared around me,
while the young trees howled.

But still I love that sound,
that howling, whipping wind,
that old gift through the parking lot
behind my current home.

use it or lose it

Today the world is open and gay...
gay of today
not yesterday

so feel free to say
what you may
only don't strip folk’s nude
you will be damaging
their prude
they may feel
you are rude

all other compositions
write substantially

We have only
one life to live
live it
why die
in grief of abandoning
yourself
not in your knowledge
but sheer others salvation
will and imagination

The Church

The Church
We arrive early to a morning service in a hurry
Look in every direction for jackets & mittens
A long line of performance can awake the senses
Straddling fences taking notes on a paper for reference
It's not based on steeples & bells or even a salesman giving something to hear;
No, his love was such that he suffered so much just to
Cause some of us to follow in his footsteps
The church should be in us all as a holy temple
It has withstood the heaviest cost of time
