One of my days

the day is gone
now that I think about it
and try to remember what was done
I realize it was a long day

first I was testing the limits of my theory
that beauty can be found everywhere
looking at the metal fence around the lake
the plants accepted the wire as a support
and they do not mind growing near its regular ugliness
so I photographed them
and dismissed the question

arkansas the aardvark

.
the sky were grey and gumboiled
and something made no sense
least of all miss frobisher
who stood upon a fence

chewing daff and tulip bulbs
laughing like a train
while arkansas the aarvark
slept quietly down a drain

against his mother's wishes
as were throwing off his pants
proclaiming, when he's old enough
he wasn't fond of ants

for which the ants were very pleased
and danced a merry dance
while prissy, missy frobisher
cartwheeled off to france

DIMENTIA

I don’t know where I’m going
Forgotten where I’ve been
I don’t know what I’m doing
Can’t remember, what I’ve seen

I don’t know what I’ve done
Nor what I did it for
I don’t know who I am
Nor who I was before

I don’t know who you are
Or why you’re here with me
I don’t know how to say this
But please, just set me free

OBSERVER OBSERVED

There's a wren here at my house,
Every midmorning he's there.
I've never seen him with his spouse.
He must keep her hid somewhere.

But every day he's at my deck
hopping doing what wrens do.
A little jaunty brownish speck
at the door which I look through.

He has become set in his ways,
each day he makes his wrennish rounds.
(I wonder upon what he preys)
Far as I know he makes no sounds.

scarecrow

.
i met her up on brandon hill
her chin stuck forth like a windowsill
such were the squareness of her jaw
and she had but one other flaw
garbed in gothic head to toe
she prattled like a throttled crow

nor did her barbed-wire hair entice
nor blackened eyes that looked me twice
yet compensation were enjoyed
observing how her bosom buoyed
and to this day i do not know
the tag bestowed this rasping crow.

CONSIDER THIS

We each were born
To take our rightful place
Coexisting on this earth
And we were tasked
Not to define our existence
But to prove our worth

Our purpose then
Was gifted to us
But left as undefined
So now, we must choose
What is best, not just for us
But also, for mankind

I feel the same (November Contest)

It is the end of November.
I have exhausted my patience.
There are still
a few leaves hanging.

I saw the sun reflecting
in the quieted bend
of the nearly frozen river.
The light dropped right
through my branches.

There are mushrooms
growing on my side,
looking too white
smiling shapes,
I wish I could shake them.

I want a shawl of sparkling down
on my naked shoulders.
I want snow.

In a world of words

In a world of words, truths are told,
secrets are unfolded,
for everyone to behold,
and reality to enfold.

But beware of sweet words,
they are falsehood furred,
thrilling illusions,
they will plunge you into delusions.
More like a quick sand,
they will sink you underground.

In a world of words, justice is secured.
In a world without words, justice is impaired.
Words are your voice,
with them you have choice.

Human Naked Trees ((((Simply poetry liked by 800 only...)

Human Naked Trees

Did you ever realize
trees have a life ...
no soul ...
i.e. heart

human beings
as much as trees
produce seeds ..

and
as they seed fresher ones...
we do newer generations
breed...

after variety of weed
in the sea
we were like fixated trees ...

and

some billions of years
thence
we did to travel
commence....

but on all fours

do you know
or
want to know more ...
we all were trees
once before.
