Spring

The snow is gone and all is brown,
Song birds have come again.
New blades of grass are showing up,
To greet the first spring rain.

Tulips and Daffodils in bud,
With Crocus in full bloom.
To celebrate the son of God,
Who rose up from the tomb.

The newborn life upon the farm,
New buds upon the trees,
All speak to me of summer days,
With warm and gentle breeze.

When days are so much longer,
The sun is warmer too.
So anxiously I feel now,
Those things I plan to do.

Monsters I've Met

I met a ghost, but he didn't want my head,
He only wanted to know the way to Denver.
I met a devil, but he didn't want my soul,
He only wanted to borrow my bike for awhile.
I met a vampire, but he didn't want my blood,
He only wanted two nickles for a dime.
I keep meeting all the right people--
at all the wrong times.

Spring For

Watch out every love-week
"Spring Fever"
Heart shaped flowers
No April Fool more showers
The Country spring air

His sunshine over your hair
Feeling homesick you
better be quick
Wait it's Spring Newsweek
More flowers to pick springtime
everywhere the Rainbow

" Bingo" she's "Spring clean"
Baby Bella salads "Mango"
mixed love her greens
The first day of Spring the Robin
bring the rain Mary Popin

Inevitable

Death is the enemy the only one to destroy this relentless entity is he whom created me. You have the advantage of living not in the tomb even if by being consumed that you will no longer believe flowers bloom but weeds remain green unseen in being alive no matter all the grey gloom. Sunlight always fill my heart wounds but I will swoon to see the brightly lit midnight moon.

Plurals (For you to remember)

A herd of Antelopes
fought an army of ants.
As the colony, swarmed into life.

The shrewdness of the apes kept the
Flange of Baboons at bay,
While their tribe was in conference.

The cete of badgers was blamed
for the culture of TB Bacteria
That their colony had spread.

A sleuth of bears
Ganged up on a colony of beavers.
After the Sloth of bears.

Were invited into the beavers lodge
Watched over by a pack of polar bears
A flight of bees, were in a swarm.
Leaving the hive in a grist.

Boys can be bulimic too

Next time you check my arms and see nothing new
Try to check how I chew
Because maybe I have a different way
Of showing you I’m not okay.

Spring? (April's Contest)

When dawn is up
with greener hues
and genuine colors
got more to infuse,
when eyes catch more
of magical views
to leash the boredom
and all the blues,
when the sun's warmer
on the sandy dunes
and the back yards din
with tons of tunes,
when quills in ink
dance with muse
and sing up with
or without the flutes,
when the media's up
with Only good news
Just then I'll think
It's Spring.

A Lesson Learned

One day my car refused to start,
And no way would it run.
If it had only been a horse,
I'd shoot it with a gun.

But using my diagnostic skills,
Applying what I know.
I figured it would not take long,
Before that car would go.

I got my wrenches from the trunk,
And took some things apart.
I thought the flapper doodle valve,
Was stuck before the start.

So when I pushed the plunger in,
The wankle came undone.
The spring that holds the pop flange down,
Had jumped the number one.

Go To The Graveyard but Whisper

If with your living hand
a flush melody all aces
you would wash the moss
from my stone l should blush,
blinking. My face has color now,
they whisper. Look. Sit with me
this one time, eyes lit with floral
moons. I have a suit and money,
quarters like moons over my eyes.
Can I have all of you for a moment?
Come closer. Look. Hear the dead choir,
