set the birds free from a clouded mind, caged they're stolen of their lofty spirit

if I did love (her)
I asked (her) to first define
LOVE
She smiled
and
left me for ever
with another...
Her intentions were obvious
she was just
another unqualified lover
Chinese fried rice popular in the West
Family generations will attest
But rise of China meets with a protest
An event the West would like to arrest
As Boxer Rebellion Britain vanquished
Middle Kingdom’s ascent was diverted
Now, China’s dominance will not be squished
Chinese prominence will not be thwarted
Against our will
spins on the mill,
with gold we fill
our times or spill.
In health, in ill
in pain, in thrill,
we cry, we trill
till fits the bill,
then comes the will
to solemnly still

the full moon is there
for the lonely
a friendly face
to look into
every so often
singing
or laughing back

golden, kid
surrounded by space

Looking for love
wanting romance
I'd love to love you

I've got control
you can't make a move
I'll hurt you, I will
but outside, I'm smooth
You never can leave
don't try to go
If you aren't where you are
I'll surely know
I felt such a fool
I arrived on the beach
Bucket and spade
And a hamper full
I erected a wind break
Just for the wife’s sake
The beach was so quiet
But it was early in the day
Then people arrived
The beach was alive
Then it dawned on me
Why they came late
It was the sun you know
As it climbed up higher
I saw them in all their nudity
No one tells me anything you see
Today I have the blues,
The deep sad blues:
Me, staring at the world
And nothing really wrong,
Just that I cannot be there,
Where my heart desires
To be.
Earlier I received a beckon
That set my hunger for truth;
Only my light dimmed on me.
And now these cravings
For deep beautiful mystery
Bring a sad emotional swell
To my eyes.
And unable to be there,
I can only weep
Tears of sweet sadness.

touch like stars caressing water, brimming eyes, whelming the heart
What a treat from the bees
Something golden to please
They’re like a board of trustees
Taking flowers as their fees
Each a lil’ Hercules
Flying miles in the breeze
The fields their diocese
Buzzing ambrosian decrees
Even ol’ Socrates
Who said that being busy
Is just a wasting disease
Without some expertise
Would say the bees’ guarantees
Are nothing at which to sneeze
They say the moon’s made of cheese
And broccoli’s just little trees
