Gumption

The cap is the same
i wore growing into manhood.
It's faded over time
like my hair
but has the gait and gumption
of youth and maturity
which helped me scale mountains
skid on the slopes
and now trudge on the dotted line
to a vantage point
where I blink at the Sun
with shaded eyes
holding onto my cap
not letting it blow away
by winds of time.

It now has a companion
a stick
to walk rest of the miles
with my thoughts
into mysterious tomorrows.

Hypnogagia

the worm burps chrysanthemums
like hypnic jerk
matter becomes metaphor

thats how the beast works with in us
we are a book of masks
and i'm up to my neck in
mirrors of the marvelous

midnight music beguiles like a blizzard of whispers
flaming candles heat like ovens
burning finger by finger
i melt flabbergasted in dark linoleum clouds

blood gluttonous
tender bites
lips like red rain and trussed thighs
she grins
a face of needles and mice

i think she wants me

Worn Visage ( plus the psychedelic vid version)

I love my greying hair and wrinkling
broken nose from much bullwinkling
never been much for vanwinkling
nor ever stopped my eyes from twinkling

My head and face has many a scar
from bullshitting near and far
smart-arseing in a dangerous bar
and failing to run so very far
whilst giggling like a mad porn star

If that’s my fate then so be it
I always end up in the shit
I don’t mind if I get hit
if laughing so my sides are split
at the expense of some dim-wit.

The Drunk

I lean on the edge of here and there
A poet blessed with a cloud of despair
I am inspired
Can I build a house?
Will it be?
Do I require 70%
Enough, I despise myself
My greedy hands

Abandom Faith

Abandoned Faith" written by Alex McFarland and Jason Jimenez is a timely book about why Millenials are walking away from the church and how we can bring them back. The authors discuss how children who were raised in the church no longer attend once they go off to college. Parents are distraught, wondering what they did wrong. In many cases, families become estranged over the new generation of adults breaking family traditions.

Away From Lebanon

Where is your noise,
I feel lost in silence
Through the torn people,
Your people, and my people.

I saw into their eyes
Dawning a peace
That was eternal
Intruding into my peace

In this another land.
I found you here
In this quiet sanctuary.
Away I would scream,

In the sanctuaries of my mind
Away let silence be mine,
I left you behind.
Screaming buildings, screaming

As they are torn apart
Throwing themselves at the ground
Smoking the dust of ages
From which they came.

Kill Candy ,,,revised

come here with the jackknife and see what I'm made of
i'm kill candy she said
taffy and blood
a steaming deli
doomed chicken of the sea
doll parts, splayed pomegranates
femurs left in a urinal; wish bones
eviscerations to admire
peaches and cream sprinkles
skin like cold grey soap
barbed wire orgasm's spas
like a toilet flushing
spirographic squiggles
at the museum of modern art

ANOTHER ANGEL 2018 PASSES BY

ANOTHER ANGEL PASSES BY
Time lapses again and again
into its own golden, nay diamond casket
Another angel passes by
and a new one will emerge tonight
Twilight to twilight

The winds of change as usual continue
CORRUPTION and POLLUTION still continue
They have become and are order of the day

And best of all, all Religious ones have discovered
the imprisonment of LORDS
in Mandirs and Churches and Mosques
need to be abandoned
to keep alive the modern generation

Autumn Flower

There she lay in the wild
baring her virgin charm
squirming in the passionate breeze
seducing the flirting aphids
with her scent and vibrant form
to mate and sate her nascent desire
and in the aftermath
feel blessed and overwhelmed
with a moist drop at dawn
sparkling her maidenhood.

There she lay
dreaming of offspring
warming her womb.
